Thailand, my second home
After living in Thailand for 9 years of my life, I decided to reopen the shop with a single focus: Thai natural products — cosmetics, health and wellness. I love modern cosmetic technology (K-beauty and Asian innovation are amazing), but I learned one thing: no good cosmetic exists without good ingredients. And Thailand has some of the best in the world.
Its tropical climate and centuries of traditional medicine made the country a true pantry of botanicals: turmeric, jasmine rice, coconut, tamarind, mangosteen, butterfly pea tea, jasmine, ginger and plai, centella asiatica, aloe vera, camphor… ingredients now studied and sought after by the world’s biggest beauty brands.
Experience taught me another lesson: more often than not, it’s the traditional, old-recipe, premium-ingredient products — with no hype and no unnecessary chemicals — that work best. Tiger Balm, which we carry, is a good example: created in the 1870s and sold for over a century in more than 100 countries, it’s still made the way it always was — in the Thai version, the first ingredient on the label is camphor (25%), a classic aromatic balsam used for centuries. And “Fah Talai Jone”, the bitter herb of Thai traditional medicine we use in our herbal toothpaste, was even approved by Thailand’s own government. Tradition, recognized ingredient by ingredient.
So here you’ll only find what I’d choose for myself: natural, traditional, effective.
